HTC Desire - Review

HTC Desire, when it comes to design it is identical to Nexus One however Nexus One has the best look. HTC Desire looks pleasing to one’s eye as well. The device measures about 119 mm in length, 60 mm in width and when it comes to thickness, the unit measures up to 11.9 mm. The weight of the cellphone is 135g, which makes it not really too big and not too small as well. Furthermore there is apparently a slight chin towards the bottom end of Desire; just like several other HTC handsets however the phone is actually sleek thus gets into the pocket conveniently.

The 3.7 inches touchscreen display screen on the phone delivers WVGA (800×480) image resolution, that is certainly impressive and sharp, no matter whatever you are working on at the phone (text reading, internet browsing, images checking). The screen can be pretty responsive and facilitates the pinch zoom feature. The device has also a proximity sensor, and a built-in accelerometer. Furthermore, the onscreen keyboard on the phone is also quite good, despite the fact that whenever started up with portrait mode, it looks a little bit of cramped. You'll find the standard buttons existing at the lower end of Desire; home, back, search and menu.

The telephone features a HTC Sense interface, unlike Nexus One and operates on Android 2.1 (Eclair) but still could be upgraded to Android 2.2 (Froyo). However, regardless that the phone doesn't run using the latest version of Android, this still provides amazing and complete Android benefits.  The Desire is perfect for syncing data through several e-mail accounts, and even social networking websites such as MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter. Additionally, while using the HTC Sense, you have got several built-in apps like People applications and fingerprints.

Some other features of the product include things like support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, and GPS, smart dialing. Despite the fact that by using HTC Desire, you will lose out on a complete Flash Player 10.1, the WebKit internet browser is supporting for Flash Lite. Furthermore, the device comes in support for various video formats and music formats such as MP4, MP3, WAV, AAC, and WMV. You can add up to 32GB microSD memory card inside your Desire even so it comes with pre-installed 8GB memory card.

The digital camera on Desire is 5 MP, which has autofocus, and also the LED flash. You will find there's wide range of available choices meant for image editing and quality setting. Furthermore, with video recording mode, the device is able to record @ 720p resolutions.

To conclude off this review, we would suggest that HTC Desire could be a Smartphone really worth getting. It's simple to use, responsive as well as meets the criteria of value for money.
