Samsung Galaxy W I8150 - Review

The following review will take a look at another cell phone from Samsung. The phone, when it comes to display, seems attractive however similar to some other mobile phones from the same company. Along with rounded off edges at the bottom, the device has a comfortable grip. W I8150 is handy and can be easily positioned in the pocket, not seeming too bulky or heavy. The phone’s dimensions are 115.5 X 59.8 X 11.5 mm and weighs in at 109.9 g. It’s a modern as well as understated Android Os to offer some high-end offerings on a midrange price range.

The phone comes in support of GSM, HSDPA 14.4 Mbps, together with HSUPA 5.76 Mbps. The 3.7’’ touchscreen provides a resolution of WVGA (480 X 800 pixels) and a 16 M color display. The touchscreen is capacitive and not just resistive, so that it is extra responsive and effective. The phone has a 1.4 gigahertz Scorpion processor together with a Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon, Adreno 205 GPU, although RAM of the phone is 512MB. Furthermore, the operating system of the phone is Android 2.3( Gingerbread). That is an additional advantage as new mobile phones nowadays are generally coming having Froyo 2.2 which means this provides a bit of an edge to W I8150.

The internal storage of the phone is 2GB however you will be able to always put in a memory card up to your own personal acumen.  Some other attributes of the device include support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS radio along with A-GPS and also Stereo FM radio.  Finally, the interface of the telephone is TouchWiz 4.0 UI and the phone also provides a built-in accelerometer, proximity sensor, multi-touch input along with Swype text input.

The unit contains a 5 megapixel camera which is supporting with auto-focus. Whenever switched to video recording, the device could record videos in HD 720p @ 30 fps. The phone also comes with LED flash and it also features a front-facing camera which is useful for video recording.

Samsung Galaxy W I8150 is a good invest in however it doesn't have SuperAMOLDED display which is a undesirable as some other products by Samsung do already have it, making these products get an edge over this smartphone. Nevertheless, independently the phone displays sharpened and crispy images and textual content, the camera is actually reasonable.
